Love Me Beauty subscription: August 2016

Love Me Beauty subscription: August 2016

I received my Love Me Beauty bag earlier this month and have had a bit of time to try most of it out now! There are some favourites in here – please keep reading!

This month marks my third month of being subscribed to Love Me Beauty – the deciding month. You see, I had decided to sign up to a 3-month membership to give me enough time to decide whether it was something I wanted to keep up with, or wasn’t worth spending my money on. I can say that I definitely want to keep receiving this subscription. A big, happy, excited YES!

If you’d like to know the ins and outs of this subscription service; prices, memberships, customer service etc., please head over to my post on How it Works!

I am yet to receive a product from LMB which I don’t like. I wouldn’t re-buy all of them but there are some from each bag that I use daily! I’ve also been introduced to some great brands that I otherwise probably wouldn’t have discovered as there are so many up and coming brands around these days. And all of this at £10/month – what more could I ask for?

Onto this months products! I am so excited to show you this stuff!

Ecotools Day to Night set

I think these brushes were definitely the highlight of this month for me. Makeup brushes are expensive, so to be able to get a set in my £10 beauty subscription was an amazing deal for me. I actually found this set in Superdrug the other day and it costs over £16! Here is the link.

There was also a choice of Ecotools brush sets to choose from, to suit what your needs may be. I chose the ‘day to night’ set, mainly because it has a fan brush in it which I had been looking for everywhere to no avail! The brushes came in a little case which can be folded and zipped up into a sturdy makeup bag – which I wasn’t expecting, so that was a nice surprise adding yet more value to this months bag.

The brushes themselves are so soft and the synthetic hairs have a lovely gradient, lighter at the base and darker at the tip.

Vita Liberata Marula Dry Oil Self Tan

Okay, I am really not big on tanning. Not that I’m against it – I’m just kinda terrified of it being as pale as the moon. I’ve only gone as far as using Garnier Summer Body and St Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan, so anything that would have a more immediate effect makes me wanna run a mile in case I suddenly go tangerine. I picked this as Vita Liberata has an amazing reputation, and I think it’s worth trying a higher end brand tanner as I almost trust them more in not making me orange. I may not use this yet, but for when I’m feeling like experimenting a bit more, or have a sudden boost of confidence – it is there.

This came with a small tanning mitt and a surprise £10 off £30 Vita Liberata voucher. As I don’t really know much about tanning, I started talking to one of the online helpers on the Vita Liberata site to start thinking about what I might want to get with the voucher and they were so helpful. I really do recommend them. So understanding and explain everything clearly for the tanning ‘newbs’ like me!

If anybody has experience with this product, please let me know!

Nuxe Reve de Miel Hand and Nail cream

I wouldn’t usually go for a hand cream, but so far I have loved Nuxe products, and my hands can start to feel really dry at work, so I really wanted to try this out! It is great, really moisturising, you only need a tiny bit to cover your hands and it smells slightly floral and just comforting. It does the job and I really feel like I’m treating my hands.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or

This is a gorgeous, shimmery, dry oil which nourishes, softens and illuminates. You can use it on your face, body and hair. Here is the description from the Marks and Spencer website which explains it way better than I ever could:

“This shimmering dry oil for hair and skin is made up of 95.2% ingredients of natural origin & a unique combination of 30% precious plant oils and vitamin E to nourish, repair and soften your face, body and hair in a single step. Your face and body are left feeling soft and silky and your hair is supple, soft and shines with health. The sensual golden particles leave a subtle shimmer on your skin and enhance your every move.”

I definitely think that once my tester is used up I will repurchase a full sized bottle of this as it is absolutely divine and unlike anything I have tried before.

I was so pleased and impressed with this months bag – I’ve found some great products and have managed to expand my small brush collection a bit more without spending much at all!

I hear that in September, there will be some Kat Von D cosmetics products featured in the boutique! WHAT?! I’ve never tried Kat Von D – it’s one of those brands that I really want to try like Urban Decay, Nars and Tarte that seem like a distant dream – so I am mega excited for September. Sign up as soon as you can – and use my code so that you can get even more bang for your buck!
